My Story
Based in Alcester, Warwickshire, I have been painting since about 2003
I work in oils, acrylics and pencil crayon. I create life-like detailed portraits using traditional techniques in oil or I draw in pencil crayon. I like to portray the character of the animals being studied, this is so important when it comes to painting someone’s beloved pet.
As a contrast I also love to paint with a pallet knife, seen mainly in my landscapes, as this can evoke great atmosphere, memories and feelings of the places I have been to.
The Warwickshire landscape and North Cotswolds have inspired many of my landscape paintings along with my fondness for Pembrokeshire’s coast and trips made to Scotland.
I have completed many murals where I have loved to engage and inspire children, and create welcoming environments.
I am a member of Evesham Arts Society.
